Project overview

This feeder protection project addressed medium-voltage overhead lines exposed to humid outdoor conditions. The focus was to strengthen short-circuit protection, insulation support and overvoltage control with field-proven distribution hardware.

Customer challenge

Humid climates and outdoor feeder routes place continuous stress on insulation interfaces and protective devices. The customer needed a coordinated set of cutouts, insulators and arresters that could be installed efficiently on existing line structures.

Solution applied

• Fuse cutouts for over-current protection and visible isolation points
• Composite insulators for mechanical strength and outdoor insulation performance
• Surge arresters to limit lightning and switching overvoltages
